ABOUT tapan Foundation
tapan Foundations (N. G. O.)’ is a registered
Non-governmental Organization working in Agra district of Uttar
Pradesh and Bharatpur district of Rajasthan. It aims to mobiles
community efforts for the overall development of weaker and
marginalized sections of Indian society. It has a team of dedicated
social workers, activists and volunteers. It aims to work against all
forms of social injustice and exploitation. The organization
supports all types of voluntary efforts for promoting sustainable
and equitable social development. The main focus is on motivating
and mobilizing youth for the welfare and development. The
organization works for the welfare of weaker sections such as
unemployed youths, rural women and people belonging to low-income
groups.
It has been actively engaged in dealing with social issues such as
primary education, community health, poverty alleviation,
environment protection and rural employment. One of the main
objectives of the organization is to create awareness among people
on social issues, mobilize them for social action and motivate them
to work together for social development. ‘tapan Foundations (N. G. O.)’ gives
utmost importance to programmes related to women empowerment, as
they constitute the most deprived and exploited section of our
society and require special attention for its social rehabilitation.
Its objective is to impart suitable training to women and make them
self-dependent. The organization is also working for the welfare of
rural and urban youths by providing them suitable training and
employment through self-help groups.
Vision
The organization wants to work for establishing an egalitarian
society in which there in no discrimination on the basis of
religion, caste or sex, and which can provides equal opportunities to
women for their growth and prosper.
